New Years Eve 2007

Jason and I were in Chicago for New Years Eve. We decided to not go downtown with all the crazies and just went to dinner and had some drinks while playing board games at the apartment!! I know we are dorks :)

We then went to Canton to celebrate Christmas with Jason's family. Christmas is always busy but always great to see everyone!!

We celebrated Christmas a few days early with my family. We had fun at both my mom and my dad's house and got lots of gifts.

Thanksgiving - Chicago 2007

This Thanksgiving we stayed in Chicago and Kara came to visit. Jason made the entire dinner except I made the pumpkin pie. Kara made nothing :) So after our run, Jason fixed lunch and Kara jumped on the Metra to go see her boyfriend, Mike.

Turkey Trot

Jason and I braved the COLD Chicago weather on Thanksgiving and got out of bed and ran. It was quite windy and snowy but we both made it! Jason did the 2 mile run and I did the 5 mile. I got second in my age group and ran it in 38:45!! (Less than 8 minute miles). I was pretty happy since I didn't realize I could run so fast in the winter weather!

Fourth of July run

Jason and I headed home to New Philadelphia to visit my grandpa and family. Jason and I also ran a 5k while we were home. The First Town Days Run. I ended up getting second in my age group!! Look at my pretty medal :)
My grandpa was one of my biggest fans but never understood why I liked to run. He thought it was silly to run :) I love you and miss you Grandpa.

2 year anniversary

Jason and I went away for our two year anniversary. Went to a town called Galena. Did some shopping, walking around and my favorite part was going to a winery! We did some wine tasting and then got some glasses of wine to enjoy outside. We had a nice dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes and Jason even karoked that night!

Brian and Stacy's wedding

Brian and Stacy got married on September 29th. Jason flew into Columbus for Brian and Stacy's wedding. We had a great time catching up with old friends and dancing away (Jason had more fun since he had random girl dance partners). The picture below I don't know who the girls are...
All in all it was a fun night!!

Lincoln Park Zoo and Boat Tour

A couple of things we have done so far while in Chicago is go to the Lincoln Park Zoo and went on the Architectural Boat Tour. The Lincoln Park Zoo was very nice and free!! They had lots of animals (I especially liked the monkeys). We spent the afternoon there before going home to watch the Buckeyes play.

The next weekend we went on the Architectural Boat Tour. It was an hour long boat ride on the river.

Olympia - Labor Day Weekend

My two sisters(Rachel and Kara) and me and my nephew Jake flew out to Olympia to visit my brother, sister in law (Alicia) and our newest nephew Leo! We had such a wonderful time!! The time went by so fast. We went to Bumpershoot, an outdoor concert, and we toured Seattle. On Labor Day, my brother had a cookout at their house with some of their friends.

Move day - here we come Chicago!

Today is move day. Jason, Andy and me spent all last night packing up the Budget moving truck and Jason and Erik took off this morning to unload in Arlington Heights (Chicago).

It is a happy day and a sad day all in one.

T-ball and baseball in Cleveland

Jason and I headed up to Cleveland for the weekend to watch some t-ball and baseball and help do some yard work! We had a great time even though my 5 year old nephew beat me in memory...

My newest Nephew - "Leo"

My brother Jason and sister in law Alicia had Emiliano Jude Martinelli on Monday June 4, 2007!! He was born in Olympia, Washington!! I Can't wait to meet my newest nephew! I now have the three coolest nephews in the world! (I don't know about that Michigan shirt :) )

NYC - Girls weekend 2007

Girls weekend 2007!! Rachel, my mom and me went to visit Kara in NYC!!! We had a great time with lots of laughs. The weekend included Coney Island where we rode the water ride and played skeet ball (Rachel lost!!)

We also got to meet Kara's boyfriend Mike who is super nice, even though we might have scared him :) We stood in line for New York style pizza for an hour but it was well worth the wait.

On Sunday, we headed to the Bronx zoo for the day!! We had a great time seeing the animals and making fun of each other.

It was a wonderful weekend!! Can't wait to do it again.
